Traceback (or stderr) not redirected to logfile

Summary

The Python Traceback (perhaps even stderr in general) is not included in the logfile, nor is it included in a separate error log file.

Steps to reproduce

See issue #12.

What is the current bug behavior?

The Python Traceback (perhaps even stderr in general) is not included in the logfile, nor is it included in a separate error log file.

What is the expected correct behavior?

The Python traceback (actually, everything written to stderr) should be included in the logfile or in a separate error log file.
